General

What is Weemzy?

Weemzy is a marketplace for professionally managed short stays. Guests can discover and book quality accommodation, operators can publish and manage their listings and property owners can have their properties professionally operated.

Where is Weemzy available?

Weemzy is launching in Nigeria. Available cities and neighbourhoods are shown on the website and update as we expand.

Does Weemzy own or operate every property?

No. Properties are managed by approved professional operators. Weemzy provides the booking and support infrastructure. Each operator is responsible for check-in, housekeeping, maintenance and on-site guest service.

Can one person have more than one role?

Yes. You can be a guest, an operator and an owner on the same account. Each role has its own permissions and may require separate approval steps.

Is availability shown in real time?

Yes. Availability on Weemzy is live. Every search reflects current inventory; when an apartment shows as available, it is actually available. The moment a booking is confirmed, availability updates instantly across the platform and every connected channel. No stale listings, no back and forth, no finding out at checkout that the apartment is gone.

Booking & payment

Do I need an account to book?

Not always. You can book online or a Weemzy Guest Services representative can create a booking for you following a phone, WhatsApp, walk-in or corporate enquiry.

How do I know my booking is confirmed?

You will receive a booking confirmation once payment or any required guarantee is completed. Review it immediately and report any errors to us straight away.

How can I pay?

Available payment methods are shown at checkout. Payment may be processed by Weemzy, the operator or an approved payment provider.

Can I pay at check-in?

Pay at check-in is available on selected properties. Your booking confirmation will state any deposit, arrival deadline or guarantee condition. Failure to arrive or pay may be treated as a no show.

Will I be asked for a security deposit?

Some properties require a refundable security deposit or payment pre-authorisation. The amount, deduction terms and release timeline will be shown in your booking confirmation.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellation terms vary by property and rate. The policy shown before you book and confirmed in your booking confirmation applies.

How long do refunds take?

Approved refunds are processed within the timeline stated in your booking confirmation. Your bank or payment provider may take additional time.

What happens if I do not arrive?

A missed arrival without an approved cancellation is treated as a no show. Charges and any remaining nights are governed by the no show policy in your booking confirmation.

Can I change my dates or extend my stay?

Contact us as early as possible. Changes are not confirmed until availability and price are agreed, the booking is updated and any additional payment is completed.

What if the property becomes unavailable?

We will offer a suitable alternative or an applicable refund, prioritising your safety and communicating your options promptly.

Your stay

What do I need for check-in?

Follow the arrival instructions in your booking confirmation. You may need to present a government issued ID, verify booking details, pay any outstanding balance and comply with building security procedures.

What are the check-in and checkout times?

Times vary by property and appear in your booking confirmation. Early check-in and late checkout depend on availability and may incur an additional charge.

Can I bring visitors, pets or host an event?

Only if the property rules allow it. Occupancy limits, visitors, pets, parties and commercial use vary by property. Check before booking if any of these matter to you.

What conduct is not allowed?

Illegal activity, violence, harassment, unauthorised parties or subletting, tampering with safety equipment and any conduct that endangers people or property are prohibited. Serious breaches may result in removal.

What should I do if something needs attention?

Report it through our support channel as soon as possible. For urgent safety concerns, follow the emergency instructions provided for the property. Please do not arrange repairs without approval.

Who is responsible for damage?

Guests are responsible for damage beyond fair wear and tear caused by them or their visitors. We will share evidence and give you the opportunity to respond before any deduction is made.

How do I make a complaint?

Contact us as soon as possible, ideally while you are still at the property, with any relevant details or photographs. We will respond promptly.

For operators

Who can become a Weemzy operator?

Professional operators who meet our onboarding, property, service and compliance requirements may apply. Admin approval is required before any listings go live.

How do operators manage their properties on Weemzy?

Weemzy is your all in one PMS and channel manager. Once approved, you manage everything from one place; listings, availability, rates, reservations, guest records and earnings. No separate tools required.

Do operators need to replace their existing PMS?

Not necessarily. Weemzy supports approved PMS, channel manager and manual workflows. Technical setup is agreed during onboarding.

Do operators need a separate channel manager?

No. Weemzy includes a built in PMS and channel manager that automatically distributes your inventory to over 400 OTAs and booking channels including Airbnb, Booking.com and Expedia. You manage everything centrally on Weemzy and we handle distribution. Technical setup is completed during onboarding.

How does distribution work?

Once your inventory is live on Weemzy, your availability and rates are synchronised automatically across connected channels. You manage everything centrally, Weemzy handles the rest.

How are operator fees and payouts handled?

Weemzy charges a commission of 10% on each completed booking. Any additional fees are confirmed in your Commercial Schedule, which also sets out payout timing and settlement terms.

How do I apply as an operator?

Submit an application at https://weemzy.com/operators. You will be asked for company, portfolio, compliance and operational information.

For owners

Can an owner create a listing directly?

No. Owners submit properties for assessment. Approved operators create and manage marketplace listings.

What happens after I submit a property?

We will review your submission, request any documents needed, coordinate a site assessment and explore matching your property with an approved operator.

What if I already have an operator?

Your operator should apply for Admin approval, once approved, list the property through the Operator Portal. Your owner record will then be linked to the listing.

Does submitting a property guarantee income?

No. Submission does not guarantee assessment, acceptance, listing, bookings or earnings. Suitability depends on condition, compliance, location, demand and operational feasibility.
